The Quadratic Turkey Activity is a fun, interactive way for Algebra 2 or advanced Algebra 1 students to review solving quadratic equations around Thanksgiving. It’s perfect for keeping students engaged before the holiday break while reinforcing key skills.
This resource includes two differentiated options:
Option 1 – Solve & Color:
Students solve quadratic equations (by factoring or using the quadratic formula) and color the turkey’s feathers and body based on their answers.
Option 2 – Solve, Find the Vertex & Color:
Students solve the equations, find each vertex, match it to a word, and color feathers according to the vertex’s quadrant.
Includes an answer key. For classroom use only. Please do not share with other teachers.
