Description
These SAT Math Skill Builder and Transfer Practice resources give students a structured path for SAT math test prep, review, tutoring, warm-ups, and skill application. Students first build the math skills with focused Practice Sheets, then transfer those same skills to SAT-style Skill Checks with multiple-choice questions, student-produced responses, graphs, tables, diagrams, constants, and Desmos-style thinking.
This bundle includes SAT Math Practice Sheets 1–18 and SAT Math Skill Checks 1–6. The goal is simple: students build the skill first, reflect on mistakes with error analysis, and then practice applying that skill in SAT-style question formats.
Students may know how to solve a math problem on a regular worksheet but still struggle when the SAT changes the wording, adds a graph or table, uses constants, includes answer choices, or asks the skill in a less familiar way. This bundle was created to help bridge that gap.
Students will practice:
- Strengthening core algebra skills, including equations, inequalities, and systems
- Working with functions, function notation, graphs, tables, and transformations
- Practicing factoring, quadratics, polynomials, rational expressions, and exponents
- Reviewing geometry, trigonometry, circles, triangles, area, volume, and right triangle trig
- Interpreting data displays, scatterplots, probability, rates, percentages, and real-world contexts
- Applying familiar math skills in SAT-style question formats
- Using error analysis to reflect on mistakes and strengthen understanding
- Practicing with multiple-choice and student-produced response questions
Includes:
- 18 SAT Math Practice Sheets
- 6 SAT Math Skill Checks
- 240+ total problems
- 8–10 questions per Practice Sheet
- 14–15 questions per Skill Check
- Built-in error analysis with the Practice Sheets
- Multiple-choice and student-produced response questions
- Graphs, tables, diagrams, functions, and real-world contexts
- Desmos helper questions and strategy notes where helpful
- Quick-check answer keys
- Worked-out answer keys
- Teacher guide / suggested use pages
- SAT Math Practice Path pages
How the practice path works:
The Practice Sheets help students build and reinforce the math skills first. The Skill Checks help students transfer those skills to SAT-style questions.
For classroom use, the pathway can be used like this:
- Practice Sheets 1–3 → Skill Check 1
- Practice Sheets 4–6 → Skill Check 2
- Practice Sheets 7–9 → Skill Check 3
- Practice Sheets 10–12 → Skill Check 4
- Practice Sheets 13–15 → Skill Check 5
- Practice Sheets 16–18 → Skill Check 6
This structure gives students repeated practice with the underlying math before moving into more complex SAT-style application.
Skill areas include:
- Linear equations and systems
- Slope, y-intercept, and interpreting constants
- Inequalities and systems of inequalities
- Functions, tables, graphs, and function notation
- Quadratics, vertex form, x-intercepts, and quadratic models
- Exponential functions and decay
- Polynomials, rational expressions, and equivalent expressions
- Probability, conditional probability, and data analysis
- Scatterplots, line of best fit, and graph interpretation
- Geometry, circles, triangles, arc length, sector area, and volume
- Trigonometry and SAT-style diagram interpretation
- Desmos-style graphing strategies when helpful
Suggested uses:
Use this bundle for:
- SAT math review
- Warm-ups or bell ringers
- Weekly SAT practice
- Tutoring sessions
- Small group intervention
- Homework or independent review
- Summer review
- Skill-building before SAT-style mixed review
- Test prep support before full-length official SAT practice tests
This bundle works well for students who need more than random SAT practice. It gives them a plan: build the skill, reflect on mistakes, and then apply the skill in SAT-style formats.
Note: This SAT Math Skill Builder & Transfer Practice Bundle is different from my SAT Math Test Prep Bundle.
This bundle focuses on building math skills first and then applying those skills in SAT-style Skill Checks. My SAT Math Test Prep Bundle includes topic-based SAT math units, a 5-week study plan, SAT bell ringers, timed practice, and calculator/test-date resources.
Created by an experienced math teacher to help students connect the math they know to the way SAT math questions are asked.
