Description
Give your students engaging practice with the discriminant in this festive ugly sweater coloring activity. Students compute the discriminant for each quadratic equation, match their answers around the sweater, and color each section according to the directions provided. A second version also includes determining the nature of the roots, making it easy to differentiate or extend the lesson.
This resource comes with multiple page options so you can choose the layout that fits your classroom needs.
You can print a two-page version with a separate work page, or a one-page version where students compute and color everything on the same sheet. An additional sweater design from previous years is also included for teachers who prefer the original style.
